Parameters

maxReceiveSilence
Type: SystemInt32
The maximum receive silence in milliseconds. Must be greater than zero.

Return Value

Type: T
The builder.
Remarks
Set the maximum receive silence. If no packet is received over the connection during this period of time, the system automatically pings the server in an attempt to elicit a response. If a response is received, the connection is maintained and the receive silence timer is reset. If no response is received, the connection is terminated.

The default is Config.DEFAULT_MAX_RECEIVE_SILENCE or Config.DEFAULT_HUB_POINT_MAX_RECEIVE_SILENCE , depending on the Type .

Optimally, the max receive silence should be much greater (at least 20 seconds greater) than the max send silence on the other end of the connection.

This does not apply to connections of type Type.GROUP or Type.POINT .
